Seven Rhode Island climbers individually planned this trip to coincide so that we were all at Red Rocks together. It was a great trip despite some bizarre weather that included gale force winds and snow. Posted below are some photos from the trip with brief descriptions/highlights of the climbs. If you are planning a trip to Red Rocks and want the limited beta I can provide on any of these routes/crags email me.

Mescalito Tower, Cat-In-The-Hat 5.6+, 5 pitches

The Cat-In-The-Hat is a great fun climb to get tuned-up for some of Red Rocks longer and more difficult climbs. The approach from the Pine Creek parking area on the "Loop" road takes about an hour (twice what the guidebooks suggest).

Watch out for stuck ropes on rappels. The sandstone knobs grab ropes.
