Routes
The cliff at Beach Pond is approximately 1/4 mile long and averages
15 to 20 feet in height with one section about 40 feet high.
The rock is granite with little or no loose rock. There is a lot of moss
and lichen on the rock due to the constant shade given by the large trees
that grow at the base. There are no known established
routes on the cliff. There are many buckets so it is easy to create
moderate routes. The cliff is promising for bouldering as you could
put together some really long traverses. However, if you climb here you
may want to bring a wire brush to clean the rock
Protection
There are trees just about everywhere at the top of the cliff to set up
top-ropes. Due to the height of the cliffs practicing leading is not
really practical.
