First Class

Wolf Rock, Mansfield Center, CT – Meeting Time 8:30 am (7:30 at car pool. See car pool location below).

1. Take US-6 W toward HARTFORD
2. In WILLIMANTIC take the ramp toward CT-195 / UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT / STORRS
3. Turn RIGHT onto N FRONTAGE RD / CT-632. 0.1 miles
4. Turn LEFT onto STORRS RD / CT-195
5. Turn LEFT onto BROWN RD right after a church
6. Turn LEFT onto CRANE HILL RD
7. Park on right just before the NIPMUCK TRAIL signs
8. Follow the NIPMUCK TRAIL on the left side of the road to the cliffs

 


Car Pool Location for Wolf Rock and Ross Pond

IGA Market, Rte 6, Scituate, RI

Meeting time 7:45 am

Car Pooling – If interested in car pooling then meet at the IGA Market off Route 6 in Scituate.  Take Route 6 west from Providence and look for the IGA just before Danielson Pike splits to the left.  See Map below. 

 


Second Class

Hammond Pond – Meeting Time 8:30 am (7:30 at car pool. See car pool location below.)

 

Take Rte 95 north to exit 20A and on to Rte 9 Boylston St. Newton.  Take Rte 9 and right after the first mall entrance take a right down hill onto Hammond Pond Pkwy.  Take an immediate left in the median to reverse direction.  Go under Rte 9 and take an immediate right then a left into the parking area by the pond.

Bristol Place Shopping Center, Rt. 1A & I-95, South Attleboro MA

 Meeting time 7:30 am

 

From Providence and points south take I-95 North.  As soon as you cross into Mass take exit 2A which is marked “1A South, Pawtucket, RI.”  Just after you get off the exit take your first right after the Mobil station.  This will swing you by the train station and under Newport Ave. (RT 1A).  Upon entering the shopping center keep straight until you see McDonalds.  We will meet directly across the road from McDonalds. Look for crazed climbers milling around.

 

From points north take I-95 South and exit on 2A which is marked “1A South, Newport Ave.”  Follow directions as above.

 

Third Class

Ross Pond, Killingly, CT -- Meeting Time: 8:30 am (7:45 at car pool.  Car pool same as for Wolf Rock.)

From Providence and points east take Rte 6 west. After crossing the Connecticut border go four miles and at the top of a hill at a flashing yellow light you will see a sign on the left for Old Furnace State Park. Take this left (South Frontage Rd). After five tenths of a mile take a right on Ross Road.  Go four tenths of a mile and take another right down a dirt road. You will see a Ross Pond State Park sign. Go about a half mile to the parking lot at the pond. The cliffs are up the hill in front of you.
